Project
The future Riyadh Public transport network will serve the city of Riyadh with 6 new metro lines. The Project is divided into the following three packages:
- Package 1: Lines 1 and 2
- Package 2: Line 3
- Package 3: Lines 4, 5 and 6
Each package will include the transit system, stations, viaducts, tunnels, park&ride facilities, depots and an Operations Control Centre (OCC) associated with the line(s) within each package.
setec is involved in the concept design development for two depots of the Package 3: one for Lines 4&6 Depot and one for Line 5.
Services
setec is part of the Design Joint Venture (DJV) for the depots conception of Lines 4&6 and Line 5. The following studies are included:
- Structure: design of the internal and roof structures. Calculation of the slabs and foundations.
- Architecture: provide attractive and alluring sites and buildings.
- MEP: development of all technical arrangements for mechanical, electrical and plumbing networks.
- Roads, car parks and footpaths: all the routes required for cars, delivery trucks and pedestrians.
- Fire safety: emergency exits for the employees, access for firefighters and fire trucks, with segregated lanes

Client : The Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA) is the High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh. This high planning Commission has been established in order to develop the city in all economic, social, cultural, architectural and environmental aspects.
