The New Paris Courthouse unites all the Paris court services together. Previously, these services were scattered in five different sites. The project consists of two buildings which form a « L » shape from an aerial view.
The main building is comprised of a pedestal with six floors designed with a lot of open spaces: courtrooms, audience rooms… Above it, there is a superstructure which consists of thirty floors divided in three blocks. They are separated from each other by a terrace under a transfer floor made of prestressed concrete. All this contributes to give a unique appearance to the building.
The particularities of the building are its slenderness and the width of the floors. This justifies the choice of having three independent cores joined by the transfer floors in order to homogenise the movement.
The Bastion with seven floors is, in the west part of the site, alongside the railway logistic zone. All the buildings are designed with three underground levels protected from any surrounding underground water table by a diaphragm wall. The building structure is made of reinforced concrete with numerous secondary structures like stairs, footbridge and roof made of steel.

Each of the design team companies (RPBW, setec tpi, setec bâtiment, and Majorelle) built its model using REVIT. This provided the project with a collaborative approach to define the building geometry, the preliminary design of the networks, the quantity survey and the creation of the formwork plans.
